Goldwell Kerasilk Debut Fashion Partnership with Rachel Gilbert

Goldwell’s famed Kerasilk line and Australian designer Rachel Gilbert have joined forces in the name of hair fashion, debuting a new fashion partnership and launching the Gemini, Rachel Gilbert Fall 23 Collection with hair styling by National Kerasilk Ambassador Kirby Lago, owner of Pelo by Lago.

Gemini is built to shape a unique identity for eveningwear, as made with contrasting feminine and androgynous approaches to dressing. The collection is created around a defining theme that deconstructs a traditional floral print. The pieces are patterned over evening silhouettes in variations of hand-woven and beaded placements, evoking the classic Rachel Gilbert look, while also evolving the aesthetic of the brand.

Rachel Gilbert is known for her ability to create a contemporary vision for event wear comprised of effortless elegance and honouring the craftmanship that is paramount to fashion.

For the shoot, this luxury style was complemented by hair that was swept back in a casual wet look, in perfect contrast to the statement dressing.

“Kerasilk is my go-to range on set. It’s a beautiful range that’s so versatile. The perfect edit of styling products. The range can be easily layered into the hair without a heavy product feel. This is essential when creating a wet look that still has movement,” Kirby said.

Get the look:

  1. Wet the hair down with water and then apply Kerasilk Style Bodifying Mousse generously.
  2. To create this look with a less wet result you could wave first, then apply mouse through roots then softly throughout ends.
  3. Using your hand work in the shape of the hair with Kerasilk Style Accentuating Finish Crème. Encouraging height at hairline above the forehead.
  4. Finish with a light mist of Kerasilk Style Fixing Effect Hair Spray.
