Hair Festival have announced the 2025 dates for their annual event, after the success of Hair Festival 2024 achieved significant growth, with over 6,000 attendees marking a 30 per cent increase from 2023. With this ever-elevating trajectory, Hair Festival, brought to you by INSTYLE and Styleicons, is welcoming patrons back to Sydney’s ICC on June 29 and 30 next year, for the opportunity to shop, learn, compete and connect over hairdressing’s biggest weekend.

“Hair Festival 2024 was a smashing success and we can’t wait to do it all again in 2025,” said Hair Festival Director Renita Collins. “Attendees arrived in droves and responded extremely positively to the updated venue of the ICC, the new date in late June and the innovations, education sessions and networking opportunities on offer. We’ve heard from brands, exhibitors, educators and guests alike that the spirit of the national hair community was truly back, and our sights are set even higher for next year.”

Hair Festival is a bona fide one stop shop of hair – offering attendees the chance to discover the Festival Hub of stands, which delivered a record 90-plus stands in 2024. The Festival Hub is entirely free for attendees, and showcases on-stand demonstrations, offers specialised Hair Festival deals for new products and tools across a variety of salon categories and inspires at THE STAGE. for free education all weekend long. Business and Barber Hubs, food, drinks and installations around the venue make this the heart of Hair Festival.

In the Hair Festival Education Sessions, also held at Sydney’s ICC, attendees learn from inspiring brands and educators across topics such as cut, style, colour, men’s hair, straightening services, hair extensions, business and beyond.

The REALTalk Business Forum kicks things off in a beloved event comprised of authentic and game-changing conversations for salon owners, managers and leaders.

Hair Festival further connects the industry with the Wonderland party, hosted on the Sunday night of Hair Festival, on June 29 in 2025, which has garnered a reputation for the food, drinks, entertainment and frivolities that capture the very essence of the hair community’s sense of fun.

Live Hair Festival Competitions reignite the industry’s competitive streak, this year held on THE STAGE. in front of a vast audience, who watched as hairdressers created and paraded live looks before being awarded in categories ranging from men’s hair, to bridal, colour and women’s style, in the hope of becoming the Hair Festival Champion. The competitions cater to various experience levels and continue to grow year-on-year.

As the industry’s comprehensive hair weekend, Hair Festival partners with other industry bodies such as Mocha Group, with industry events to take place from Saturday June 28, extending to the Australian Hair Industry Awards (Creative), which will finish the weekend on the night of Monday, June 30.
