Balearic Beauty International: Inside its Re-Brand and Luxe Influencer Beauty Event

Late last year, celebrity brow artist Jade Cook and newly appointed Balearic Beauty International (BBI) co-owner Angelica Kopec hosted an exclusive event to celebrate the brand’s recent achievements and exciting next chapter. 

If the name Balearic Beauty International doesn’t ring a bell, Brow Bible International will. The professional wholesaler and brow education supplier has recently undergone a re-brand, all while retaining its 112k-strong Instagram following. Jade leads the business into its next phase, having kicked off with the no-expenses-spared launch event in December, hosted at a private jet villa perched on a cliff’s edge.

35 of the country’s most influential beauty and lifestyle influencers attended the event, including Skye Wheatley (I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here) and Kiki Morris (The Bachelor).

Professional Beauty caught up with Jade Cook to get the low-down on the duo’s motivation behind the event, and plans for the refreshed brand:

Talk us through your motivation behind hosting such a lavish event for Balearic Beauty International.

“The LIFT & LOCK – our best-selling product – inspired the entire theme of the night. We’ve been flying high with its viral success, and it was only fitting to celebrate with a ‘first-class’ experience. Hosting this event on a private jet was both a bold statement and a meaningful parallel – the experience of taking flight mirrors our rebrand journey. We’re taking flight into new markets, new heights, and new possibilities, and always with our community at the heart of it all. The recommissioned jet plane also embodied our belief in thoughtful evolution. As entrepreneurs we are always reinventing, innovating, and pushing boundaries.” 

You had an incredible line-up of guests attend the event! How did you go about developing relationships with influencers?

“Both myself and Angelica have an extensive network built over years of working with top minds in business, spanning across industries. When you operate at a high level, connections naturally evolve which introduces us to other brilliant individuals in fields like beauty, fashion, entertainment, and media, including influencers who are shaping global trends.

Our approach to relationships is both organic and strategic. But we don’t just ‘seek out’ influencers, we build genuine connections with those who align with our brand’s values of innovation, luxury, and empowerment. This means working with individuals who authentically believe in Balearic Beauty International and can naturally integrate our products into their content in a way that resonates with their audience.

For this event, those connections allowed us to bring together a lineup of powerful voices in beauty and beyond, not just as guests but as partners in our vision. So, the influencers weren’t just attending, they were actively engaging, experiencing, and becoming part of the Balearic Beauty movement.

You’ve achieved great success as a salon owner, coach and as the owner of Brow Bible International. What new goals have you set out to achieve with Balearic Beauty? 

“Thank you! With Brow Bible International, we built a global community of beauty professionals who trusted our expertise. Now, with Balearic Beauty, we’ve reached incredible milestones including our best-seller, which alone has amassed 40 million organic views. Our success has come from our community rather than a massive investment in paid advertising, and we owe so much to our customers.

Our new product line will transform the way beauty brands connect with their audience, giving them a voice in the process (and as much as I’d love to tell you how, that’s a secret… for now!) Rebranding to Balearic Beauty was deeply personal for me. The Balearic Islands are where I grew up, made some of my best memories, and felt my most radiant and confident. That’s the feeling we want to bottle up for our customers, beauty that gives you that effortless, holiday-glow energy every day.

I can’t even begin to express how excited we are for 2025! We’re launching collaborations with influencers and brands, introducing a seamless subscription model for salons and consumers, and hosting immersive beauty and business events. And if you know us, you know we love a WOW event! Expect Angelica, myself, and industry experts to bring valuable insights on building successful, scalable brands and helping women own their power.

We’ve built something of a powerhouse. With my expertise in beauty and Angelica’s background in business, we’re blending the two worlds and connecting our networks to create events that will make a lasting impact on both the beauty and business communities.” 

Why did you feel now was the right time to expand the business and bring on Angelica?

“When I was living in Dubai in 2022, I had already experienced burnout from running my salon business, and I could feel it creeping in again as I tried to juggle motherhood, coaching clients, and marketing an extensive product line. I knew that if I wanted to make a bigger impact, I couldn’t do it alone; I needed the right support.

Education has always been at the core of our brand’s ethos. We’re passionate about empowering women not just to feel confident in their own skin but also to pursue their goals and dreams. Balearic Beauty is more than just a beauty brand; it’s a movement, offering both high-quality products and transformative experiences through online and in-person events. When searching for a business partner, I was very clear on the qualities I needed – someone who shared the same vision, had the drive and passion to grow the brand, and could bring valuable connections and investment opportunities. Bringing Angelica on board has been the best decision. Her ability to open doors and create opportunities has been truly mind-blowing, and I’m excited for what’s ahead!”

Have you made any particularly stressful or expensive mistakes as a business owner? If so, how have you recovered from them?

“Oh, absolutely! I think every business owner makes mistakes along the way; it’s part of the journey. One of my biggest (and most expensive) lessons in the early years was not taking the time to fully understand my numbers, set budgets, track KPIs, and forecast properly. I relied too heavily on an accountant and bookkeeper who, unfortunately, didn’t have my business’s best interests at heart. Their mistakes led to a massive financial mess, including a significant Director’s Loan due to misfiled records.

That experience was a huge wake-up call. I realised that even with experts in place, I needed to have a hands-on approach to my finances. I took back control by assigning bookkeeping to my mum (who has been my saving grace) and hiring an incredible accountant whom I now meet with every quarter.

The biggest lesson? Never outsource full responsibility for something as critical as finances without understanding it yourself. Now, I make it a priority to know my numbers inside and out, and it’s made me a much stronger business owner.”

What do the next 12 months look like for the brand and for you personally?

“2024 was a foundational year for us, focused on building a strong board of advisors who share our vision and excitement for where we’re taking Balearic Beauty. Having the right people in our corner is key to scaling the brand and making a bigger impact.

On a personal note, I recently found out I have melanoma and will be undergoing surgery to remove the remaining cancer. This experience has put my health and wellness at the forefront, and this year, I’ll be prioritising my well-being while continuing to grow the business. It’s been a reminder of how important it is to build a life and business that align with what truly matters.

We’re also incredibly excited to be hosting our first beauty & business event this year! It’s something I’ve been passionate about for a long time, and I can’t wait to share more details soon. 2025 is shaping up to be a year of impact, growth, and meaningful connections!”
