New medispa Look Lab, dedicated to innovative treatments for the body and face, opened last month in Westmere, Auckland.

Owned by Linda Codegoni and Marc Ellis, Look Lab specialises in luxury treatments using LPG Endermologie, HydraFacial and Déesse Mask therapies imported from Europe. The boutique medispa’s treatments will be tailored and prescribed for each client, depending on the issue to be addressed.

“My passion for Ayurveda, yoga, Reiki and other holistic therapies informs my approach and I’m combining them with the latest beauty innovations,” says Codegoni, who has been a beauty therapist for 12 years. “I truly believe that if you embrace your life joyfully, and you take care of yourself, you will get the fresh look you’re after.”

Look Lab’s LPG Endermologie body treatments work by waking up the epidermis, stimulating the fibroblast cells in the connective tissue, activating the muscles of the problem area, while regenerating and tightening skin and encouraging collagen production. Body treatments will address cellulite, ease fluid retention, trim waists and hips, tone arms, and ease scarring. Endermologie face treatments work similarly, but with different equipment and on a smaller surface area for anti-ageing, hydration, lifting and tightening.

Look Lab’s HydraFacial treatments are resurfacing procedures that include exfoliation and serums and provide immediate results. Look Lab also offers Déesse Mask seven-colour LED therapy for anti-aging, acne, pigmentation, and sensitive skin conditions like rosacea.

Codegoni, who trained as a beauty therapist and Ayurvedic therapist in her native home of Italy, moved to New Zealand in 2017 and has spent the last 12 months developing Look Lab and its menu of medispa treatments. She will work with a team at Look Lab that includes a massage therapist and appearance medicine specialist.

“Our spa is a place for an alternative approach to beauty, where different therapies and technologies work in synergy,” say Codegoni. “It’s a spa to take time in, to be nurtured in, and a place to feel confident and happy in yourself.”
