American Crew Partners with Wrexham A.F.C.
Premium men’s hair brand American Crew has teamed up – pun intended – with the world-famous Wrexham A.F.C. from Wales, partnering with players Ollie Palmer, Jordan Davies and Paul Mullin. The players travelled to the United States for the team’s friendly matches in Santa Barbara and Santa Clara, California, in July 2024, allowing for the collaboration. The football club catapulted to fame as part of the TV show Welcome to Wrexham, which documented the soccer team’s journey after its purchase by A-listers Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in 2021, which turned the players into household names.
This partnership acknowledges the impact of sports stars and athletes in the world of style and grooming and reflects American Crew’s commitment to consumer interests and commercial trends globally.
“We’re thrilled to partner with such extraordinarily talented players who make an impact on and off the pitch,” shared Jacqueline Mandaro, General Manager at American Crew. “Men’s grooming and style continues to evolve, becoming more and more present in culture, trends and sports. Partnerships like this one with Ollie, Jordan and Paul help solidify American Crew as a leader in professional hair care, but also as a destination for meaningful engagement and inspiration.”
“American Crew has become a significant part of my routine to help define my personal style. As I prepare for our U.S. tour, it’s important for me to look and feel confident as I represent my team. American Crew provides me with the tools to do just that. I’m excited to share my grooming journey with the football community and show how style and confidence go hand in hand,” Wrexham forward Ollie Palmer added.
The brand was present at the Wrexham football game in Santa Clara on July 24, supporting the team and cheering them from the stands. The partnership has also included style guides from professionals and grooming choices and insights from the soccer stars.
Ollie credits his love of the American Crew Matte Clay for ease of use and texture with the Body Wash, Shampoo, Conditioner in Ginger + Tea as an essential travel companion and the hero Beard Serum as his top grooming tool. Paul credits American Crew Fiber as his styling go-to for long-lasting hold through active football days, while Jordan cites the Defining Paste as his answer to increased definition. The 3-IN-1 Body Wash, Shampoo and Conditioner in Tea Tree is Paul’s travel favourite, while Jordan enjoys the product in Chamomile + Pine for its relaxing, calming fragrance.
American Crew All-Star and educator Mark Rabone, owner of Esquire Male Grooming in Brisbane, has shared insights on the stars’ highly popular signature styles. Ollie sports a short-textured quiff, characterised by its height and lift, Jordie wears a trending textured Caesar cut and Paul opts for a durable classic short combover, all achieved with their hero tools.
