Behind The Brand: New Zealand’s QT Internal Cosmetics
Most of us know we can’t outrun a bad diet but did you know that your diet also plays a huge part in how your skin ages too? Well it turns out what we eat and take internally plays an even bigger part in how we look and that is why Kiwi Callum Stewart launched QT Internal Cosmetics back in September 2018. Callum comes from a family with more than 45 years experience in the health and wellness industries so knows a lot about the benefits of good nutrition on our health and appearance. Callum says he formulated these unique products so anyone can counteract the effects of aging, enhance their natural beauty from within, and feel vital. While there are many collagen-type internal cosmetics on the market Callum’s products (Bellē and Encorē for women and Beaū and Encorē) are more than just collagen. We recently sat down with Callum to find out more.
How is Bellē different to other collagen powders on the market?
Bellē is more than just a collagen product. It contains a unique mix of all‑natural, active ingredients that work synergistically to deliver results in 30 days. Apart from hydrolysed marine collagen, Bellē also contains Tremella, a mushroom that can hold up to 400 times its weight in water and pulls moisture to the skin. Tremella also contains very high levels of vitamin D, so it’s great for bone & joint health. Another botanical is Lotus, a powerful antioxidant that counteracts free radical damage, making the skin more resistant to lifestyle ageing. Natural Silica boosts collagen synthesis, and Vitamin C helps to maximise the absorption of nutrients. Plus Bellē tastes great!
What are the real benefits of taking Bellē & Encorē?
Bellē:
- Counteracts the signs of ageing
- Hydrates the skin
- Improves hair and nail strength
- Clears acne and blemishes
- Reduces joint pain and increases bone strength
- Brightens the complexion
- Reduces cellulite
- Promotes healthy sleep patterns
- Helps you to feel fuller for longer and maintain a healthy weight
Encorē:
- Protects skin from free radical damage
- Nourishes and strengthens hair and nails
- Boosts the immune system
- Can help support hormone balance
- Enhances digestive health
You will see faster and superior results if you take both products together.
What are the different ways to take Bellē?
Bellē can be added to yoghurt, chia pudding, bliss balls or just sprinkled on your cereal.
How do you know if you have found a quality product as I’m sure not all collagen powders on the market are equal?
Quality collagen doesn’t smell and dissolves easily. For a collagen product to be readily absorbed by the body, it’s important that it uses hydrolysed collagen peptides, and includes vitamin C, as vitamin C is a cofactor in collagen absorption. Our supplier has stringent requirements for its production processes and quality testing and is also committed to obtaining its raw materials from sustainable sources.
Where are Qt Internal Cosmetics made?
They are made in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Is it important to take Encorē in conjunction with Bellē and why?
If you take just one product from the range you will see and feel the benefits. However, we have designed our Encorē capsules to work in conjunction with either Bellē or Beaū: both his and her Encorē products contain Keratin plus other ingredients that aren’t in Bellē and Beaū. Taking both Bellē or Beaū with Encorē will lead to faster and superior results, so it’s advised to take both.
Why do you think there has been an explosion of interest in this beauty/wellness category over the past few years?
Because people are getting noticeable results in terms of reversing the signs of ageing plus the health benefits of better digestion and enhanced energy.
Why do we need to take Internal Cosmetics like Bellē and Encorē?
A lot of people just don’t have the time to prioritise getting a balanced diet that contains all of the nutrients that we need for healthy skin and hair.
Who should be adding Bellē and Encorē into their daily regime and why?
Anyone who wants to see a difference in their skin, hair, nails, digestion or bone and joint strength. As we age, collagen production in our body steadily decreases and that decline starts to happen in our early 20s. Exposure to the sun, a high-sugar diet and smoking can also affect the body’s ability to produce collagen. So once we reach our 40s, that’s when we notice a difference in skin, hair and nails, and start to feel niggles in our joints and gut problems too.
How are men responding to Beaū & Encorē?
Really well! Earlier this year 150 people signed up to take part in our 30 day challenge: a good proportion of the male participants (86%) confirmed that they would continue to take the products after the challenge ended. Other men that we have spoken to are really pleased that we have included products specifically for them in this range. We also get orders from women who purchase Beaū & Encorē for their partners which is nice.
What’s next for Qt Internal Cosmetics?
Right now, we are working to expand our international market. In terms of products, we are always looking at ways to meet the needs of our customers. We currently have some ideas in the pipeline, but no new products confirmed as of yet.
