DermaQuest Re-Launches; Some SKUs Re-Formulated

International skincare brand, DermaQuest has announced a re-launch. PB caught up with Advanced Skin Technology Marketing Manager, Gabrielle Bartolo to learn what clinic partners can expect.
In what year did DermaQuest make its entry into the Australian market?
“DermaQuest has been available in Australia and New Zealand since the 2000s, however Advanced Skin Technology took over exclusive distribution in AU/NZ in late 2018.”
What is the ethos of the DermaQuest brand. Has this changed since its establishment in 1999?
“It’s really the same ethos, same passion but with exciting developments. Whilst the formulas continue to be innovated and elevated, the DermaQuest ethos remains the same as the day it launched; to harness the power of science and nature, to deliver clinically proven, technologically advanced results.
By offering ‘Tomorrow’s Skincare Today,’ DermaQuest empowers skilled therapists with unique, high-performance formulas that address a spectrum of skin concerns with elegance and efficacy. Perfect for customising a complete treatment plan for even the most difficult skin concerns.”
DermaQuest has undergone a ‘re-launch’. What does this entail?
“In Australia and New Zealand, we unfortunately have not had a complete DermaQuest range since 2018 due to regulatory challenges. Understanding what a significant issue this was, the DermaQuest R&D team set out with an ambitious goal; to keep or enhance the existing power of their products while making them globally compliant. From here, the team at Advanced Skin Technology (AST) have hand picked the best of the best to offer 5 transformative retail collections Essentials, C Infusion, Pure Peptide, MelaQuest, Retinol and a portfolio of professional treatments.”

Are SKUs from the brand set to be eliminated, while new SKUs are introduced?
“Yes, as part of the re-launch SKUs have been enhanced or re-categorised. Rest assured, best sellers loved by consumers and clinicians alike remain available, such as the Pure Peptide collection that leverages first to market peptides. There are also exciting new additions like DermaQuest’s most effective pigmentation serum in 25 years, maximising the scientific potential of their proprietary cysteamine complex and ascorbic acid to achieve incomparable results. Plus, the development of a powdered form of hyaluronic acid, further enhancing DermaQuest’s position as the world leading skincare brand for the skincare professional.”
Have any products from the DermaQuest line been re-formulated?
“Yes, some notables include the Soothing Antioxidant Complex, previously known as the Delicate Soothing Serum in the Sensitized collection, Advanced B5 with Ferulic Acid previously Advanced Essential B5 Hydrating Serum in Essentials, and Advanced SkinBrite Serum now the Advanced MelaQuest Serum.”

Why was 2025 the right time to re-launch the brand?
“2025 marks a pivotal moment in the skincare landscape. Consumers are increasingly discerning, seeking brands that prioritise innovation and transparency. They demand evidence-based formulations with clinically proven ingredients. Furthermore, 2025 commemorates 26 years of DermaQuest’s dedication to skincare innovation. This significant milestone underscores our commitment to continuous improvement and the development of cutting-edge solutions.”
What can partnering clinics expect from DermaQuest moving forward?
“Continued innovation, transparency and ongoing commitment to skincare excellence. Rest assured, DermaQuest will empower professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes with fully customisable treatment plans. DermaQuest will continue to lead the industry with the latest ingredient developments, including hybrid formulas and advanced micronized delivery systems.
Recognising the importance of expert guidance, DermaQuest will remain exclusively in clinic.”
