Returning for its second year to Christchurch’s Te Pae Convention Centre on Sunday 2 November, the NZHA is more than just a night of glitz and glamour – it’s a celebration of the creativity, skill and passion that power Aotearoa’s hair industry.
What you can enter
The NZHA offers 18 categories across creative and business awards.
- Creative Awards
For editorial-style photography that showcases technical flair and storytelling.
Categories include:
- Cover Shot
- Colour Concept
- Derek Elvy Visionary
- Patrick Cameron Bridal Challenge (Next Gen & Senior)
- Editorial Collection
- Plus dedicated barbering categories
- Business / Non‑creative Awards
For salon/barbershop achievements in business.
Categories include:
- Professional Educator
- Professional Salon/Barbershop
- Plus hairdresser/barber categories
How to enter
- Complete the relevant entry form (Creative or Business) on the NZHA website
- Pay the entry fee. Fees vary depending on category, membership, and experience level (tip: i Hair & Barber NZ (H&BNZ) members get discounted rates!)
- Upload required materials
- Submit everything before the deadline: Thursday 31 July
