How This Adelaide Clinic Opened The Conversation Around Intimate Health
Let’s talk about sex, baby.
A lot of spas and clinics put on regular events for their patients these days. Mostly, to educate about new treatments or products. Last week, Adelaide-based Elixir Skin Fitness took this concept to the next level with an impressive educational and inspiring event at the stunning SkyCity event space in Adelaide’s CBD.
Elixir Skin Fitness Owner and Dermal Therapist, Rose Bonasera, partnered with women’s health specialist, Dr Aman Bhinder and nutritional medicine practitioner, Chiza Westcarr to keep the discussion going, and for some, open the discussion for the first time, about women’s intimate health.
In front of over 80 guests, together, they discussed the different stages of life for women, and the associated health challenges, as well as treatment available, such as InMode’s Empower RF device and its various treatment options, which is now available at Elixir Skin Fitness.
“The event provided an opportunity to gain knowledge out about what this new technology (Empower RF) can do to help us restore health and wellbeing to our patients,” says Rose. “It was a great success and so inspiring to hear our speakers talk so openly about a range of female issues. This is something we need more of, and Elixir Skin Fitness is dedicated to providing this level of understanding and knowledge to the public.”
Hosted by Adelady’s Lauren DeCesare, a Q&A session after the presentation saw guests interacting with speakers to create engaging and enlightening conversation. The common thread that all guests realised was, that nothing is ‘not normal’, i.e. there are other women who may suffer from the same issues; you are not alone.
$7,003 was raised for Ovarian Cancer Australia, the chosen charity for the event directly relevant to the event’s central discussions. Rose says women’s intimate health and wellness is a part of the Elixir brand, enabling women to feel empowered and to break the silence associated with intimate health.
“Empower RF is the most advanced technology available delivering life changing women’s wellness treatments,” explains Rose. “We use Empower RF daily in the clinic to resolve a broad range of female issues. Not only does it improve the aesthetic appearance, it also helps restore basic function and quality of vaginal health. We can address multiple concerns for women including incontinence, pain with intercourse, chronic infections and vaginal laxity.”
Guests showed great interest in women’s health treatments, demonstrating the increasing market for intimate health, and reduced stigma surrounding it. Each went home with a goodie bag including skincare, and even lubricant – very on theme.
SPA+CLINIC attended the event as a media guest, and we absolutely loved the sense of community and empowerment this event created. See more photos of the evening below.
