Kao Salon Division announce entry process for Virtual Global Creative Awards 2024
The virtual Kao Salon Division Global Creative Awards for 2024 have announced the entry process for the competition, which will run online from May 15 to 31 of this year. The virtual platform gives even greater scope for Goldwell, KERASILK, KMS and Oribe to enter.
“At Kao Salon Division, we believe in celebrating and elevating the incredible talent within our professional stylist community. The Global Creative Awards serve as the ultimate platform for our stylists to showcase their boundless creativity and unparalleled skills. This prestigious competition not only recognises their artistic achievements, but also fosters a global community that thrives on innovation and excellence. We are immensely proud to provide this unparalleled opportunity for our stylists to shine on the world stage, inspiring and setting new standards within the beauty industry,” said Dominic Pratt, President, Global at Kao Salon Division.
“The creative talent in Australia and New Zealand is world leading, we were all so proud to see Amanda Magistro’s talents recognised with a gold win at the 2023 Global Creative Awards in Chicago. We hope that many of our Australian and New Zealander artists will take this opportunity to enter the 2024 competition to appear on the world stage – it’s your time to shine,” added Rita Marcon, General Manager Kao Salon Division ANZ.
The awards and live competition have been part of the Kao Salon Global Experience over the last few years, most recently in Chicago in 2023, but the 2024 competition will pause this live event to reflect the ongoing changes in the hairdressing industry, relaunching the Global Experience in 2025. The 2025 program will reflect these changes with a fresh, modern and sustainable experience.
Entrants can compete in both the Technical Awards, which has three categories of New Talent Colorist of the Year, Creative Colorist of the Year and Creative Haircutter of the Year, and the Editorial Awards, in categories of Men‘s Hairstylist of the Year and Avant Garde Stylist of the Year. The participants of the technical categories will first compete at the national level in their respective countries, where Gold winners then move on to the international competition, while editorial entrants will compete globally in a photo-only international competition, submitting one image.
National Finalists will be announced and celebrated at a local ANZ Global Creative Awards Event in July and the announcement of the Global Winner will take place in September. The global Gold Winners of each of the Technical and Editorial categories will receive the international gold trophy, as well as worldwide editorial coverage, a cash prize of €2,500, global social media exposure and a three-day trip to London.
Look ahead to how your entry can make an impact and good luck!
