Save The Date: Hair Festival, June 30 and July 1, 2024
The hairdressing industry often gets together this weekend, the June long weekend, to celebrate all things hair, but here’s your reminder to save the date to hang out in three weeks, when Hair Festival takes over Sydney’s ICC venue on June 30 and July 1.
Moving the date from the regular long weekend slot meant more affordable flights and accommodation for interstate attendees for a more seamless overall experience – plus you can enjoy this long weekend with your (non-industry) loved ones!
Hair Festival promises a veritable extravaganza of all things hair. In growth and education, don’t miss the ever-expanding list of Educations Sessions – where you can buy four and get one free! Check out the full agenda of inspiring brands and educators – and don’t miss all-new headliners, including an Open Mic forum of legends, Caterina Di Biase, Benni Tognini, Jayne Wilde, Dave McCulloch, Kristina Russell, Nicole Healy, Sheridan Rose Shaw, Simon Doyle, Nicole Lamers and Nathan Yip with Clive Allwright and Gary Latham as emcees, and so much more.
In education events, June 30 will offer the REALtalk Business Forum, where panels and keynote speakers will cover innovation, sustainability, staff management, culture and feedback, staff performance and team building and more, amidst morning tea and lunch in this session for business owners.
On July 1, the Indie Empowerment Summit, headlined by speakers like Osher Gunsberg and Natalie Anne, will congregate some of the industry’s very best to detail the ins and outs of solo operation, thanks to Salon Lane. Learn pricing, processes, winning clients, building your brand and more on the road to becoming and succeeding as an independent hairdresser.
The Festival Hub is totally free for you to enter to be inspired by a wealth of innovations across the Barber Hub, Business Hub and beyond, while the all-new STAGE will showcase bite-sized (and, did we mention, free?) education throughout the event. Come say hi at The Hub by INSTYLE and Styleicons, for snacks, a coffee or as a place to connect with your fellow hairdressers.
You’ll, of course, have to party, and the beloved Wonderland party on the night of June 30 at The Establishment bar is just the place for that. Enter the Chromosphere, with food and drinks included in your ticket, and immersive entertainment, photo opportunities, a night of dancing and so much more through the doors.
Finally, don’t miss the chance to show your skills in Monday’s Hair Festival Competitions, where hairdressers, rising stars and barbers can compete in a myriad of categories for the ultimate titles. Show your work on stage and be in the running for some stellar prizes, from 10am on July 1.
This is all available in an All Access ticket that gives you entry to absolutely everything, or à la carte so you can shop, learn, compete and connect as necessary – with standard pricing available until June 23.
Enjoy your long weekend with your family and friends this weekend – but then we’ll see you with your hair industry loved ones very soon. Start counting down!
