Infra-red light Carnosine is able to inhibit the breakdown of collagen when skin is exposed to infra-red light, which makes up around 49% of the sun’s rays.

Glycation the reaction between sugar molecules and protein molecules, resulting in an advanced glycation end-products (AGEs), modifies skin’s collagen and elastin which leads to fine lines and wrinkles.  Carnosine helps inhibit and block the glycation process in the skin.
