TheHair.App Partners With 64 Leading Brands
Richard Kavanagh’s latest revolutionary venture in hairdressing technology, TheHair.App, has partnered with an extensive collection of 64 renowned haircare brands, speaking to the hype, reputation and instant industry recognition of this savvy AI-powered tool.
TheHair.App was developed in Australia as a digital consultation aid that allows hairdressers to spend more energy and time on the creative side of hairdressing while still fostering better relationships with clients. The app creates a streamlined process that tailors and recommends retail products for clients, which are then converted into direct sales, alongside other organisational features.
The app works by using cutting-edge software to scan and assess the client’s hair type and face shape to then provide personalised suggestions to suit and accommodate this look, recommending products and insights for the hair look and its health and care, from services to treatments and retail options. Length, density, colour, aesthetic, style, porosity and more are all analysed by the AI, and clients can fill out a moodboard and lifestyle criteria to expand their profile.
The app promises enhanced efficiency, increased sales and exceptional client satisfaction, with a virtual inventory comprised of those 64 brands, which presents a strong selection of products for clients to explore. This expansive, versatile selection and the personalised diagnostics tool allows clients to find the right products for their hair needs and preferences. The app gives businesses the opportunity to forgo the need for the capital investment of holding retail stock, elevating sales and commissions through automated systems and enhancing the potential for flexibility.
“TheHair.App is more than just a technological breakthrough, it’s a game-changer for hairdressers and clients alike,” Richard explained. “By integrating the industry’s leading brands and providing a seamless experience, we’re empowering hair professionals to save time, increase their KPIs, and create extraordinary experiences for their clients.”
Since its launch in February 2023, hairdressers using the app have reported an increase in sales from 10 to 43 per cent, and even up to 60 per cent in some cases. They’ve also reported an increase in basin treatments by up to 42 per cent as clients request these services, as directed by the app. The app took five years in development, with an AUD$5 million investment into its research and development, some of which came from the Government to pioneer this technology, as the next essential step in customer care.
