View the 2025 AHIA (Creative) New Zealand Hairdresser of the Year Collection
Sara Allsop of Dharma salon took to the stage on Monday night, June 30, as the winner of one of the Australian Hair Industry Awards (Creative)’s pinnacle titles, winning the honour of New Zealand Hairdresser of the Year.
Winning with the Flowers of Life collection, the images are fittingly set against a deep green backdrop, the collection fuses that green with deep red and orange aesthetics, in fashion styling and accessories, in flowers held by the models, in bold red lips as a beauty statement and in one Brave-style, fiery red, long hair hero look.
Other looks cover another feature dual-tone textured afro, short haircuts and an ethereal braid, fusing modern hair looks with a classic aesthetic.
Sara thanked her collaborators for the win on stage, such as the collection’s photographer Jock Robson. Styling by Sopheak Seng and makeup by Richard Symons also helped bring the collection to life.
