We Joined ‘The Fresh Life’ And Loved It – Here’s Our Recap Of The Cosmetic Nurse Festival
There have been a lot of conferences this year, but The Fresh Life, put on by Fresh Clinics, stood out.
The conference, which was dubbed ‘festival’ by the organisers, lived up to expectations of an event with a twist. Hotel conference rooms were swapped with an entire indoor/outdoor precinct at Brisbane’s Howard Smith Wharves with beautiful dome tents and light-filled exhibitor areas.
Over 250 cosmetic ‘nursepreneurs’ gathered at The Fresh Life for three days of presentations, hands-on workshops, and connection. The program was jam-packed with two streams running simultaneously including nurse superstars, such as Kelly George and Alex Pike, as well as international speakers, such as Dr Raj Kanodia (who treats the Kardashians and other celebrities) and Dr Christoph Martschin.
Injectable workshops by all leading companies, such as Galderma, Allergan, Teoxane, EnVogue, Croma etc could be booked into, and were running all day, as well as live demos of device companies such as Venus Concept, Device Consulting, BTL, Hydrafacial, InMode and more. Thursday night, the Wharves were turned into Studio 54 with a glitzy Gala Dinner, glitter makeup stations and a fantastic live band who kept everyone on the dance floor for hours.
But what really made this conference different was the attention to detail for everything in between the ‘big items’ – the food that was served was fresh and healthy (no meat pie in sight!), the outdoor seating areas with view on Brisbane’s Story Bridge, the live music during lunch, the picnic blankets spread out on the lawn, and the optional morning Yoga sessions – all of this made the conference feel more like a retreat.
Fresh Clinics Founders Dr John Holbrook and Dr John Delaney set out to create community and encourage cosmetic nurses to collaborate, which they achieved with The Fresh Life. Alongside Director of Brand and Community, Nicole Dabeau, the team was seemingly touched to see it all come together.
“Last but especially not least is the overall sense of community. It was spectacular to see everyone coming together for one common purpose. To support, learn, grow and have fun together. It’s truly been an experience like no other,” their post-event statement reads.
We certainly can’t wait to see what 2023 will bring as we will definitely be back at The Fresh Life!
