Here’s What to Expect at NZ Hair & Beauty Expo Next Month

The countdown is officially on for New Zealand’s premier B2B event for the hair, beauty and barbering industries. In just one month, the NZ Hair & Beauty Expo 2025 will takeover the Viaduct Events Centre on the 14th and 15th of June, offering two days full of education, inspiration, and invaluable networking opportunities.

The NZ Hair & Beauty Expo is designed to foster a nurturing environment that strengthens relationships between businesses and their customers, boosts sales and enhances purchasing power—not only during the event itself but in the months that follow. Established in 2003, it is the only trade event in New Zealand where brands and buyers in the hair, male grooming and beauty sectors can meet face-to-face.

“Each year, we see positive growth within the industry across hair, beauty, health and wellbeing sectors, and last year was no exception,” says Show Director Shaughan Woodcock.  “There was a buzz that left us all feeling invigorated about the benefits of bringing the industry together. Our audience often spends its time working in the business rather than on the business, so a weekend to brush up on what you know and who you know helps fast track growth, connections and making sure your finger is on the pulse.”

In terms of what we can expect from this year’s Expo, Woodcock highlighted the arrival of several new exhibitors, as well as the return of established brands, which serves as “real proof that we are achieving our goals”.

New and returning exhibitors include Zenith Laser, Advanced Cosmeceuticals, DMK, and Whiteley Allcare, Youth Beauty, Beauty Gallery, LiLash, Thryv New Zealand, Black Magic Tan, Observ, Jax Wax, Antipodes, OMG, Nail Art, Sparklewhite and Cosmetologists.

This year’s event will feature even more live demonstrations and an additional education workshop series that should not be missed. The workshop series, available as a ticket add-on, will cover essential topics, including:

Emerging Trends in Korean Beauty

Presented by Elite Cosmedical, this session offers insights into the latest advancements in Korean Beauty, focusing on preventative and non-invasive treatments that emphasise long-term skin health, texture, and tone. Topics will span injectable procedures, skin boosters, and glass skin facials, showcasing the industry’s progressive shift away from invasive methods.

Decoding Labels: Dupe or Deliverer?

Curious about the effectiveness of trending dupes or why certain “active” products fall short? Multi award-winning cosmetic chemist Merve Samur will delve into the actual contents of these products, enabling you to make informed decisions for your clients and your business.

“Everybody wants to be the best, look the best and put forward the best and this will be a hub of all the people who are the very best at achieving it!” Shaughan concludes.
