Congratulations to the finalists in the 2024 Australian Hair Fashion Awards, which named their nominees this week to commend the pioneers in hair art, fashion and creativity. On September 9, the finalist announcement streamed online to 500,000 viewers, hosted by Elli Julia from M Division and featuring special guests including Paloma Garcia, Stevie English, Kobi Bokshish and Renya Xydis.

The finalists were announced in categories ranging from state and national representatives, creative awards such as colour, editorial, men’s and more, business categories and product titles that range from style to care, tools, packaging and colour. A new category was introduced by way of the recently launched People’s Choice Award, which turns the power over to a fan vote.

The pinnacle title of New Zealand Hairdresser of the Year sees reigning champion Chinney Yeap of Salute Hair Skin Spa nominated again, alongside Anthony Bayer (Anthony Bayer), Carla Southan (RAWK HAIRDRESSING), Jock Robson (Dharma), Kelly Manu (UNA), Michael Beel (Salute Hair Skin Spa).

The 2024 finalists across the board reflect a 30 per cent increase in entries compared to last year and are judged by an illustrious panel, as the platform continues to inspire in the realm of hair fashion.

The winners will be announced on October 28 at the AHFA gala, as part of the AHFA weekend, with the 2024 educational Mane Stage taking place on October 27. The gala will take place at The Star, Sydney, cementing the titans in creative hair and creative hair technology.
