Bondi Sands launches body range
Bondi Sands has launched a body range designed to assist the preparation and longevity of their popular self tans.
To celebrate the launch of the four-product strong range, beauty media and influencers were treated to a hand and foot massage using the new products at Bump Day Spa in Sydney’s Double Bay.
Bondi Sands co-founder Blair James was in attendance for face-to-face interviews held for attendees post-treatment where he talked in depth about the Body Moisturiser, Coconut & Sea Salt Body Scrub, Body Wash and Hand Wash.
He said the range was vegan friendly, SLS and paraben free, gentle for use on sensitive skin and smelled amazing.
“The body scrub came through with toasted coconut and it smelt so good we put it across the whole range,” he said.
Blair said the range had been created to apply and maintain the perfect tan.
“The whole positioning around the range is it’s tan-friendly, with each product having its own way of achieving that,” he said.
“Coffee scrubs have been popular for a while but they don’t work well with tan as they leave the skin oily and can make the tan patchy.
“Our scrub has been designed to remove dead skin so you have a fresh canvas to work with.”
Blair said the body wash and the hand wash had been designed to maintain colour.
“A lot of body wash products affect the pH of the skin but ours helps to regulate the skin’s pH so it doesn’t strip the colour,” he said.
“The jojoba in the moisturiser also helps to elongate the life of the tan.”
Blair said although he was very confident about the Bondi Sands colour and how long it lasted, he didn’t have control over what people were using in conjunction with the tans.
“These new products all work to maximise application and longevity of the tan,” he said.
The products, available now in Australia, will launch in the UK next year and potentially in the US.
