Kao Salon Division has announced the appointment of Chris Hudson as the new General Manager for Kao Salon Australia and New Zealand, effective today. With over 20 years of extensive experience in the professional hair industry, Hudson is well-equipped to lead the division through the evolving landscape of salon services in the region.

Throughout his career, Hudson has developed a diverse skill set that encompasses sales, marketing, education and strategic leadership. Since joining Kao in 2018, he has progressively climbed the ranks, most recently serving as country manager starting in September 2021. Before his tenure at Kao, he spent nearly a decade at L’Oréal, where he held senior leadership roles within the Professional Products Division, managing prestigious brands such as Redken, Matrix and Pureology.

Expressing his enthusiasm about his new role, Hudson stated, “I’m very excited to lead the Kao Salon ANZ business into the future. With my experience and insights, I see huge opportunities for Kao to become an even stronger partner for stylists.
