NZSCM Conference 2024: We Recap all the Key Highlights
This year’s NZSCM Conference was once again a resounding, sell-out success, bringing together leaders in cosmetic medicine from across the globe. Returning to the picturesque setting of Queenstown, snowy mountains and alpine scenery created an inspiring environment for a jam-packed conference programme.
NZSCM is renowned for providing a welcoming platform for candid and honest discussion, where no subject is off limits. Media personality Kate Rodger brought her signature humour and charisma as this year’s MC, helping set the tone for an engaging conference.
The schedule was carefully curated to cover a wide range of topics, with a special focus on regenerative and preventative medicine. The line-up included distinguished speakers from the UK, South Korea, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.
Live injecting sessions and workshops provided attendees with hands-on training and practical skills that they could apply in their own practices.
One of the key highlights of the conference was the launch of Profhilo Structura. New Zealand is the fourth country in the world to offer the innovative product set to revolutionise the field of cosmetic medicine.
The conference also featured a moving discussion on Te Ataahuatanga (Māori beauty) led by Tīpare Ngā. Insights were provided into the cultural significance of moko kauae (indigenous facial markings) with the aim of enhancing attendees’ understanding of beauty in Te Ao Māori.
The graduation ceremony for the NZSCM Diploma of Cosmetic Medicine was a touching moment, recognising the hard work and dedication of trainees in their pursuit of excellence in the field. It was a reminder of the bright future that lies ahead for cosmetic medicine, thanks to the talent and commitment of these individuals.
The Purple Party gala dinner was a befitting end to the conference, where attendees could unwind and celebrate their achievements with music, dancing, and laughter. It was a moment of connection and camaraderie that highlighted the close-knit community that exists within New Zealand’s cosmetic medicine field.
This year’s NZSCM Conference was made possible thanks to the support of key sponsors, including platinum partners Allergan, Dermocosmetica, Galderma, Merz, Rejuran, and Teoxane.
As the conference sold out earlier than ever before, plans are already underway for 2025. Set to return to Queenstown once again, attendees are encouraged to pre-register here to avoid disappointment.
