Off & On adds ‘lip blushing’ to its semi-permanent makeup offering
Semi-permanent make-up has come a long way from the cookie-cutter, blocky brows and harsh eyeliner of yesteryear. Now, it’s all about personalisation and considered an artistry refined over years of training.
Off & On, a subsidiary of Skin Institute, were pioneers in wax and laser hair removal when it launched in 2008. Today, it remains one of New Zealand’s leading providers, now with an extended treatment menu that includes lash lifts, dermaplaning, injectables and semi-permanent make-up (SMU). The latest addition to the Off & On SMU offering is lip blushing, available at their three Auckland locations.
What is lip blushing?
Lip blushing, also known as lip tinting, is an innovative cosmetic tattoo treatment that defines and fills the lips. The result is subtle and natural-looking, with a flattering ‘just-bitten’ wash of colour. It’s ideal for those looking to enhance lip symmetry, cover uneven pigmentation or scars, and give the illusion of fuller lips.
As for the colour, it’s not lipstick. The technician works with the client’s natural lip shade and skin tone to add a slightly deeper, diffused layer of pigment. Think of it as a shaded-in, sheer wash of colour.
The skilled and experienced technicians at OFF & ON only use top-quality medical-grade pigments to perform the lip blush treatment.
