View the 2023 AHIA Australian Hairdresser of the Year Collection
Congratulations to Justin Pace of Co and Pace Salons, who won the pinnacle title of Australian Hairdresser of the Year at this year’s Australian Hair Industry Awards (Creative). Justin took to the stage amidst smoke and sparklers to receive the final award of the night, speaking to his journey in hair that led him to this momentous award.
Justin won for his collection, titled Cymatic Queens, which is a group of images anchored in bold hair shapes and unique cuts, with asymmetrical styles, diverse textures, short crops and hair height inspiring editorially. Black and blonde hues showed off these cuts and styles at their trending, relevant and editorial best. Edgy black fashion styling in versatile textures and dark eye makeup set the scene.
The dream team included photography by Andrew O’Toole, makeup by Emma Chaisty and styling by Melissa Nixon, culminating in a coherent aesthetic and award winning collection.
