A first-of-its-kind beauty festival is coming to New Zealand

Calling all Kiwi beauty obsessives! Mark your diaries, the ‘Coachella of beauty’ is coming to New Zealand in May 2023. The inaugural Beauty Nation festival will comprise two days of fully immersive beauty activations, zones, masterclasses, and guest speakers.

Six interactive zones will play host to over 5,000 festival goers daily, each zone offering an experience that will captivate even the wildest of imaginations. The zones will include a ‘Beauty School’ with a range of different masterclasses, seminars and guest speakers, whilst ‘The Pamper Lounge’ will provide a heavenly space to relax – a one stop shop for beauty services. Meanwhile, ‘The Man Cave’ will offer the quintessential chill zone and showcase brands specifically for men.

A highlight of the two-day extravaganza, the ‘Aotearoa Made’ zone, will unite the country’s homegrown heroes—from cult brands to up-and-comers—it’s the place to discover the best of the best from across New Zealand.

An impressive line-up of industry experts, beauty brands, head-turning entertainers, and social media stars, will turn out in droves to be a part of the beauty event of the year.

Winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, Kita Mean and resident queen at Caluzzi Caberet Anita Wigl’it, are two of the big names already signed up to be involved in the festival. With more well-known artists set to bolster the talent list, it’s tipped to be an event like no other.

When Chrissy Ve, director at Ve Management and Co-Founder of Beauty Nation saw the potential in bringing festival vibes to beauty lovers, she leapt at the opportunity. Recruiting co-founder Namiko Shibata, together they conceptualised a unique beauty event for likeminded beauty buffs.

“Seeing the overwhelming support for this event has been incredible – It’s going to be huge – I’m really looking forward to bringing Beauty Nation to life for beauty lovers across New Zealand,” says Ve.

“Our four walls at home have become all too familiar and after everything that has happened with the pandemic, this event will come at the perfect time to uplift and unite everyone in something we all love… beauty!”

The first-of-its-kind, beauty exclusive festival will be a celebration of diversity and inclusivity, challenging the status quo and championing self-expression through many ways, shapes and forms.

The festival offers an array of opportunities for different brands, companies, influencers and more to come together to teach, inspire and sell to some of the biggest beauty enthusiasts across the country.
