The results are in for the Good magazine’s Best of Natural Awards 2023 – New Zealand’s largest awards in natural health, beauty and eco-living. The People’s Choice Award, the next stage in the competition, also launched today inviting readers to vote for their favourite brand from the category winners.

Now in its third year, the Good Best of Natural Awards set the standard for excellence in natural, ethical, and sustainable health and wellness. The award categories encompassed skincare, make-up, body, hair, health and supplements, eco-lifestyle, and food and drink. From a beauty perspective, the Best of Natural Awards offer the most comprehensive category coverage, spanning cleansers, face masks, serums, eyes and brows, lips, hair treatments, tanning, and beyond.

Melissa Williams-King, one of the three judges, commented on the innovation in the skincare and make-up categories. “What was really exciting is that we saw lots of cool things happening in the more affordable price point that you’d call masstige, but also some absolutely outstanding luxury brands right at the top of the market,” said Williams-King.

“The same again in hair care. We had powders, sprays and really excellent solid shampoo bars. There’s lots of innovation happening.”

This year’s winners skewed heavily towards New Zealand made and owned brands. Below, are all the hair and beauty winners.
