East Day Spa unveils newly refurbished space and treatments

Award-winning spa, East Day Spa, has undergone a transformation at its flagship Auckland location within The Grand by SkyCity.

Exuding opulence and serenity, the newly refurbished spa comprises 11 treatment rooms, including four double suites, Zen heat experiences, individual bathrooms, and a relaxation atrium.

Highlights of the new look spa include a state-of-the-art Tepidarium and Sauna Space.

The Tepidarium, from the Latin word tepidus meaning mild, is a purpose-built warm relaxation room with five Italian stone heated loungers, emitting constant radiant heat, helping the muscles to relax and the mind to unwind. Sessions at the East Tepidarium start from 30 minutes, with a maximum of five people per session.

Tapping into increasing demand for heat therapy, while bridging the gap between wellness and relaxation, are the new Clearlight Infrared Saunas. Designed to be enjoyed solo or with a friend, healing light penetrates the body with warmth and comfort. Not just a place to recharge and unwind, heat therapy is also proven to help remove toxins, relieve muscle pain, increase metabolism, ease joint pain and stiffness, improve the appearance of cellulite, and overall improve skin health.

Founded by Ina Bajaj in 2002, East Day Spa has two locations in New Zealand—Auckland and Wellington—and four in Bali, under its sister brand, Spring Spa, which also has three locations in New Zealand. The privately-owned luxury spa company is renowned for its sensory spa environment, which instantly transports guests away from the everyday. Brand partners of East Day Spa and Spring Spa include Emma Lewisham, Augustinus Bader, and Codage.
